In a lop-sided win the Philadelphia Phillies ripped the New York (NL) Mets by
a 6 to 1 count.
The Philadelphia fans enjoyed the offense provided by Ryan Howard. He doubled
scoring a run in the 1st inning and clubbed a three-run home run (his 40th of
the season) in the 7th inning. Philadelphia and New York (NL) each finished
the night with 9 hits.
