Alex Cora had 3 base hits at Fenway Park as the Boston Red Sox beat the
Baltimore Orioles by the count of 6 to 3.
In the 4th inning Boston scored 3 runs with the help of 3 hits. After an out
was recorded, Cora keyed the rally when he doubled. David Ortiz followed and
he slapped a one-base hit plating a run. Mike Lowell then popped a two-run
clout over the fence (his 14th of the season). Jonathan Papelbon, after
tossing a perfect ninth, was credited with his 38th save.
The win was credited to Jon Lester(2-2) who went 7 innings allowing 2 runs.
Daniel Cabrera(10-12) was the loser. With this win, Boston has a division
