| The Phillies set their season high for runs in a game, and big hits were the story today. The biggest hits of all were by Pat Burrell, who slams two 3-run homeruns for a 6 RBI day. Others include Tadahito Iguchi 3 for 6 scoring 4 times with a 2-run homer and Russell Branyan with a 2-run pinch hit homerun. Aaron Rowand extends his hitting streak to 20 games with a 3 for 4 day including 2 doubles. Even on the Padres side, 3 of their runs were driven home on a blast by Khail Greene. With plenty of offensive support, the sub-par 5 runs in 5 inning start for Kyle Lohse still earns him the win as he gors to 2-0 as a Phillie. |
