August 2, 2007 Phillies 7, Dodgers 4

The Phillies again flex the muscles with Jimmy Rollins, Aaron Rowand and Pat Burrell popping balls over the outfield wall, but it is most unlikely source who gets the hit at the right time and wins the game. In the bottom of the 6th with Greg Dobbs at second (he had just hit a double to tie the game) and two out, the pitchers spot comes to bat. Clay Condrey had just come into the game in the top of the inning to pitch. With the score already tied and two out, I decide to let him hit. Condrey rips a single to score Dobbs, giving the Phils the 4-3 lead. The lead holds, Condrey gets credit for the game-winning RBI, and also gets the win!!

And pity poor Derek Lowe. Far removed from his 21-8 season in 2002 for the Red Sox, Lowe gets the loss for the Dodgers to fall to 4-14 for the year. Only Jeff Suppan of the Brewers (7-16) and Andy Pettitte of the Yankees (6-15) have more losses.
