August 31, 2007 Orioles 8, Red Sox 7

After going 5-5 on their longest road trip of the season and with 19 of the last 26 games on the road, the Red Sox welcome Fenway Park with open arms. However, 36,000 hometown fans are not able to will them to victory over the Orioles. Almost, but not quite.

The Orioles, with an 8-2 going into the bottom of the 8th, try their best to blow it as the Sox get 2 in the 8th and 3 in the 9th to close within a run and get the tying run to third base with one out in the 9th, but they could not get the runner the extra 90 feet and lose by a run..
