August 21, 2007 Phillies 8, Dodgers 3

Even with Kyle Kendrick and Tom Gordon giving up three gopher balls to the Dodgers in the first game of the only trip to Philly for LA this year, the Phils bust open a 3-2 lead in the bottom of the 7th by scoring 5 runs before recording an out. No lack of power for the Phils either, as both Aaron Rowand (extending his hitting streak to 17 games) and Ryan Howard (part of that 5 run 7th inning) rip balls over the fence.

The Philadelphia Phillies had an easy time of it at Citizen's Bank Park
defeating the Los Angeles(NL) Dodgers by a score of 8 to 3.

Philadelphia wasted no time and took the lead in the first inning with 2 runs
on 3 hits. After an out was recorded, Tadahito Iguchi got things going when
he delivered a one-base hit. Aaron Rowand was next and he bombed a two-run
dinger (his 21st of the season). Philadelphia rapped out 13 hits for the
night.

Kyle Kendrick(7-4) allowed 2 runs in 7 innings, and picked up the victory.
Brett Tomko(6-6) was the losing pitcher. He surrendered 6 hits and 1 walk in
4 innings.
