September 26, 2007 Padres 6, Giants 2

The San Diego Padres sweep the Giants in their three game series, and close within 1/2 game in the division race. Also, the win today combined with the Mets loss puts the Pads within one game of the wild card leading Mets. St. Louis and Chicago both won (for the Cubs their 6th straight win), so that division stays a one game lead for the Cardinals.

Remaining games for each team:

Padres - four games in Milwaukee
Giants - an off day, then three in Los Angeles
Mets - a makeup game against St. Louis then three against Florida
Cardinals - a makeup game in New York then three in Pittsburgh
Cubs - one more in Florida then three in Cincinnati

Only the Mets will have the advantage of playing the final series at home, and all teams play sub .500 teams for their final series. Bound to be some excitement, including even the posibility of a three-way Giants/Mets/Padres tie.
