September 26, 2007 Braves 15, Phillies 5

The Phillies can play spoiler no longer, as the Atlanta Braves crack the champagne as the NL East Champions for 2007. Leading Cy Young candidate Tim Hudson gets his 22nd win of the year as the Braves romp. A close game early, as after a Pat Burrell 3-run homerun in the 6th the Braves only led 6-3, but the Phillies bullpen falls apart after that as the Braves score 8 times in the 7th inning to ice it.

Due to the lopsided score, a slew of defensive substitutions on the Phillie side late in the game. Every position player except for Rod Barajas saw action today, as did seven pitchers. Chris Coste made the most of his late appearance, as he took Ryan Howard's place at first base and did his best Howard imitation by ripping a homerun!

Chipper Jones went deep and had 2 RBI at Citizen's Bank Park as the Atlanta
Braves embarrassed the Philadelphia Phillies by the lopsided score of 15 to
5.

Atlanta jumped on top to stay in the top of the 5th inning as they scored 2
