August 12, 2007 Red Sox 10, Orioles 1

Curt Schilling didn't need all the runs that the team gave him, but he will take it. Schilling is dominant from the start, retiring the first 8 batters to face him until a Jay Payton single, and had a low pitch count possibly in line for the shutout bid until Aubrey Huff's solo homerun in the 7th spoils it.

The well-rounded attack for the team spits out 17 hits for the day, tying the season high. Some of the highlights inclue Dustin Pedroia's 4 for 5 day with 2 doubles, Mike Lowell going 3 for 4 including a 2-run double in the first inning, and Kevin Youkilis 3 for 5.

The Sox get the sweep in the series, scoring 30 runs in the process. They have feasted on the Orioles this season, going 9-2 so far against them.

David Ortiz went deep and had 2 RBI as the Boston Red Sox defeated the
Baltimore Orioles 10 to 1 at Camden Yards.

Boston promptly took the lead in their half of the first as they scored 2 runs
on 2 base hits. That scoring would be all that was needed. Boston out-hit
Baltimore for the game, 17 hits to 6.

Curt Schilling(10-4) got the win allowing 1 run in 7 innings. Steve
Trachsel(3-10) took the loss. He allowed a few too many baserunners giving
up 10 hits and 3 walks in 5 and 2/3 innings.
