July 26, 2007 Brewers 15, Reds 14

Definitely NOTa pitchers duel here, as the Brewers and Reds combine for 29 runs and 36 hits. The 29 runs combined is the second most in a game for the season, behind a tie of 30 between an 18-12 Marlins win over the Phillies and a 22-8 Cardinal thrashing of the A's. The 36 hits combined is a tie for the second most (but is the most in a 9 inning game) with two other games, a 10 inning and a 20 inning game, also with 36 hits. The most is 38, which occured in a 10 inning game.

BTW, the previously mentioned Cardinal 22 run game is a tie for the most runs for a single team in a game, the other being a 22-2 Braves demolishing of the Nationals!!

Francisco Cordero stopped Cincinnati cold and Corey Hart had 4 hits and 4 RBI
as the Milwaukee Brewers beat the Cincinnati Reds by a score of 15 to
14.

Hart led the offense for Milwaukee. He stroked a one-base hit in the 1st
inning, laced a base-hit in the 3rd inning, doubled scoring two baserunners
in the 4th inning and lifted one out of the park for a two run home run (his
16th of the season) in the 8th inning. Milwaukee lit up the scoreboard in
the 4th inning with 6 runs on 8 hits. This was a game of many highs and lows
for the home town fans, as the lead kept changing - 6 times in all.

Carlos Villanueva(3-2) went 1 inning allowing 2 runs for the win. Villanueva
got help from Cordero who was credited with his 18th save. David
Weathers(2-8) was given the loss in relief. He gave up 1 run and 1 hit in
2/3 of an inning.
