July 14, 2007 Red Sox 5, Blue Jays 1

The red-hot Sox, on a recent 12-2 run, dispatch of the Jays with relative ease. Two runs right out of the gate on a Dustin Pedroia single and a Mike Lowell bases loaded walk prove to be all the runs needed. Dice-K gets win number 9, becoming the team leader in wins breaking a 3-way tie between himself, Schilling and Beckett.

Interesting stat of the day - David Ortiz has been a man of good eye lately. He has at least one walk in 17 of his last 19 games, for a total of 22 in that stretch (including 2 more today) off Dustin McGowan), as McGowan walked 7 on the game. 9 total walks for the Sox batters today, more walks than hits.
