June 30, 2007 Red Sox 12, Rangers 9

Dustin Pedroia rips the tar off the ball, going 3 for 6 ripping 2 doubles and knocking in 6 of the Sox 12 runs as they win a slugfest. It looked like a long day after the Rangers got 5 runs in the 2nd for a 5-0 lead, but the Sox erase that and then some with a 14-batter, 8 run 4th inning. Texas gets 3 back in the 6th and gets one in the 7th for the 9-8 lead, but the Sox get one in the 7th to re-tie it and a big 3-run 8th for the win. Paps for the auto-save in the 9th, but does allow a hit. Hey, nobody is perfect. LOL

Lost in all the action was the successful major league debut of Jacoby Ellsbury, who walks his first time up and goes 2 for 4 with a single and RBI double.
