The Cincinnati Reds easily topped the Philadelphia Phillies; the final score
was 8 to 2.
Cincinnati took the lead off Kyle Kendrick in the first inning scoring a
single run using 2 hits. Scott Hatteberg doubled. Brandon Phillips came
next and he stroked a single. Ken Griffey Jr then grounded into a double
play scoring the run. Cincinnati finished with 10 hits while Philadelphia
ended up with 6.
The victory was credited to Homer Bailey(2-1) who went 6 innings, allowing 2
runs. Mike Gosling recorded the save, his 2nd. Kendrick(1-2) absorbed the
loss.
