June 23, 2007 Cubs 19, White Sox 2

The Cubs blast their cross-town rival White Sox right out of town in a thrashing with a 14 batter, 11 run 7th inning. Incredibly, all 11 runs in the inning are charged to David Aardsma as he gets the thrashing of his life!! The inning went like this: walk, single+error, walk to load bases, a dropped third strike for an error to score a run, RBI single, another RBI single, bases loaded walk to score a run, 2-run single, walk, 2-run single, 2-run triple and an RBI groundout. Finally, the White Sox manager had seen enough and mercifully yanks Aardsma and sends in Boone Logan, who gets the final two batters of the inning.

The line for Aardsma: 1/3 of an inning, 6 hits, 11 runs, 10 earned, 4 walks and a strikeout that didn't even count as an out.

Derrek Lee hit for the cycle and had 4 RBI as the Chicago (NL) Cubs destroyed
the Chicago (AL) White Sox by a score of 19 to 2 at US Cellular Field.

Lee really lit it up for Chicago (NL). The Chicago (AL) fans let him have it
for what he did to their boys. He doubled in the 1st inning, blasted a
two-run home run (his 12th of the season) in the 4th inning, doubled in the
6th inning, singled in the 7th inning and tripled bringing in two baserunners
in the 7th inning. Chicago (NL) bats were very productive in the 6th inning
with 4 runs on 4 hits and the 7th inning which saw them plate 11 runs on 6
hits. Chicago (NL) finished with 17 hits while Chicago (AL) ended up with 6.

The win went to Rich Hill(5-6) who allowed 2 runs in 6 and 1/3 innings. Javier
Vazquez(7-4) was tagged with the loss.
