| The Red Sox get two runs thanks to some sloppy works by Kameron Loe in the 2nd inning, and they would prove to be important. With one out, Jason Varitek walks. Alex Cora hits one right back to Loe, and he misplays it for an error and runners at first and second. With Dustin Pedroia at the plate, Loe then uncorks two straight wild pitches which score Varitek and put Cora at third, who was knocked home by a Pedroia single. Eventually, the score would reach 5-3, Sox lead when the Rangers get a run and load the bases with one out in the 8th inning. Mike Timlin puts out the fire, getting the two outs with no further damage. Jonathan Papelbon gets the save for the third straight game by going at scoreless 9th, striking out Sammy Sosa for the final out with tying run Kenny Lofton perched at third. He is gonna need a bit of a rest now!! For Kameron Loe, this is his first loss since May 1st, a span of 2 months. 10 starts in that stretch, with 5 wins and 5 no-decisions. For the Sox, they get their 4th straight win and hope to get out the broom after tomorrow's game. |
