| The struggles continue for the Phillies. Cole Hamels, for the second start in a row, can't last 3 innings as he only goes 2 after allowing 7 runs and 9 hits, including a 3-run homerun to Chris Gomez. Hamels already has more losses than he did in the actual 2007 season. The Mets weren't done with the homers though, as reliever Geoff Geary allows a 3-run bomb to pitcher John Maine (Maine's 4th homerun of the season!!) in the 3rd which pretty much ended the game at that point as it gave the Mets a 10-3 lead after only 3 innings. The rest of the game was pretty much pointless at that point. |
