| Arizona slams out 23 hits on the day, putting a pasting on the Phillies. Chase Utley's 2-run homerun is the lone Phillie bright spot, spoiling Micah Owing's bid for a shutout. Speaking of Owings, boy was he rippin' today. Not so much on the mound, but at the plate. 4 for 4 with 3 doubles, scoring 3 runs and knocking in one. But then, with the hitting card that he has I can see why. On the real season, he had 60 atbats. He batted .333, hit 7 doubles, one triple, 4 (yes, four!) homeruns and 15 RBI! Definitely the best pitcher hitting card I have seen so far. Hell, he had more hits today than some pitchers get in the whole season! Owings wasn't the only member of the four hit club, as both Orlando Hudson and Stephen Drew went 4 for 6. |
