May 20, 2007 Blue Jays 3, Phillies 1 (11)

Ex-Phillie Sal Fasano gets a pinch-hit double in the top of the 11th good for two RBI to propel the Blue Jays to the win. Francisco Rosario with his high ERA had to pitch the 10th and 11th innings due to the recently overworked bullpen, something which I did not want to do in an extra-inning game, and he sucks as usual.

Despite going 11 innings, the game moved at a good clip at only 3:20 for the game, which seems pretty surprising for an extra-inning game.

In a two run game the Toronto Blue Jays got by the Philadelphia Phillies in 11
innings by the score of 3 to 1.

The game was deadlocked at 1 after nine full innings. Toronto won the hard
fought contest in the 11th inning. After an out was recorded, Aaron Hill
keyed the rally when he drew a walk. Royce Clayton got his turn next, but he
was a strikeout victim. John McDonald then drew a walk. Sal Fasano was up
next and he doubled which was good for two runs. Both teams ended up with 6
hits on the afternoon.

The winning pitcher was Jason Frasor(1-1) who allowed no runs in 1 and 1/3
innings. Jeremy Accardo gained credit for his 9th save. Francisco
Rosario(0-1) was given the loss in relief.
