| Rangers starter Kameron Loe comes within one out of a no-hitter, as Troy Glaus doubles to break the no-no with two outs in the 9th. The only problem was, before the double even though Loe was no-hitting the Blue Jays, the score was tied 1-1! The Blue Jay run scored in the 5th, with a walk to Jason Phillips, a sacrafice to put Phillips at second, a long fly ball out to advance him to third, and a wild pitch to allow Phillips to score without benefit of a hit and give the Jays the 1-0 lead with no hits. Ian Kinsler would homer for the Rangers in the 7th to tie the game 1-all, and Loe would hold the Jays hitless until the double by Glaus. In the bottom of the 9th, Victor Diaz smashes the walk-off homer to give the Rangers the win. What is funny is that if the Rangers had not come back and tied and won the game and if Loe had gone all the way with the no-hitter, he would have lost the game 1-0 but still pitched a no-hitter!! |
