May 12, 2007 Red Sox 8, Orioles 3

Curt Schilling retires the first 14 Orioles in order, not allowing a baserunner until Melvin Mora singled with two outs in the 5th and the Sox down the O's with ease. Corey Patterson's homer in the 7th broke the shutout, and Ramon Hernandez finally ended Schil's day in the 8th with a two run homer. Seven of the Sox 12 hits were for extra bases, with four doubles, a triple, and two homers. Sox win their 7th out of their last 8 games. Dustin Pedroia's RBI single in the 8th broke a horrid slump, as he had been 0 for 23 prior to the hit and had gone below .300 for the first time all season.

Baltimore Orioles.  The score was 8 to 3.
 
Curt Schilling(3-3) earned his pay with a solid performance for Boston.  He
surrendered 5 hits and no walks in 7 and 2/3 innings and surrendered 2
homeruns.  Boston ended up with 12 hits for the game while Baltimore had 5.
 
The loss was charged to Steve Trachsel(1-3).  He got hit pretty hard, allowing
10 hits and 2 walks in 7 innings.
