| The Phillies get their revenge for last game's embarrassment as they get the better of the previously 4-0 Dontrelle Willis to beat the Marlins. Almost the opposite score as would be expected with the 4-0, ERA less than 2.00 Willis going against the 0-3, ERA over 9.00 Adam Eaton. But Eaton is up to the task, goes six solid innings, and the Phils get to Willis for four runs which proves to be enough. Even gave Tom Gordon another chance, although the Phillie run scored in the 8th made it a non-save situation, and he is up to the task retiring the Marlins 1-2-3. Hats off to Rod Barajas, with a nice 3 RBI day with a 2-run homer and an RBI double. Side note: the one Marlins run scored after Willis was knocked home after hitting a triple! He probably has one of the best pitcher hitting cards I have seen, as he batted .286, had 2 doubles, 3 triples, and 2 homeruns in the actual season! |
