April 20, 2007 Reds 4, Phillies 3

The Phillies make it exciting late with a run in the 8th and a run in the 9th to close within a run, but Jimmy Rollins lines out into a double play with a runner on third to end the game on a sour note. It should have already have been tied, but Ryan Howard was thrown out at home to end the 8th on a 1-15 safe chance when a 17 came up. That number was good for the Sox last game, bad for the Phils this game.

Even worse, the Phillies are now tied with the Pittsburgh Pirates for the worst record in the majors at 4-11. And the Pirates started the season 0-10! I guess Pennsylvania isn't a very good place to play baseball so far this season. But it should improve, as like I said this has happened every season for the Phils in my SOM, and they have always gotten hot eventually.
